In 1999 the Federal Government allowed Boy Scouts to adopt part of Cold Water Creek and clean it out. The Feds knew the creek was contaminated with Manhattan Project Radioactive Waste since 1949. It’s estimated the creek will not be cleaned until MAYBE 2038. That will be almost 100 years the Department of Energy has left their waste in the creek!
