After a long exhausting weekend of tornado activity, we jumped right into a very important day for this community!
A big thank you to Senator Josh Hawley for arranging and inviting us to meet with Administrator Lee Zeldin!
Administrator Zeldin made good on his promise to come visit the West Lake Landfill site and he did that and more. He met with a small group of impacted residents from Spanish Village. But he didn’t stop there, we also made a stop at St Cin Park along Coldwater Creek.
He listened to our stories! He witnessed where the atomic bomb waste sits on the landfill, he saw the creek and the homes that surround it. The Administrator tasked our new Region 7 Administrator to report back to him in 21 days what resources are needed and what barriers are standing in the way to complete the clean up of West Lake.
