Per EPA Region 7 – Update on WEST LAKE LANDFILL

Starting July 21, the Potentially Responsible Parties began sampling existing cores from previous remedial design activities for pre-excavation confirmation sampling purposes. As of August 12, all samples from 138 archived borings onsite have been collected. The next phase is scheduled to begin later this month, where drilling operations to gather and sample new cores will be conducted. Stay tuned for more updates!
EPA Remedial Project Managers Haley Hart, Chris Jump, Tom Mahler, and Jacob Mertes, along with our state partners from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, provided oversight of field activities.
