** We did it! RECA has passed and was signed in to law. We will now be downwinders!!! ** Dedicated to protecting our families, community, & environment. **

⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE ⚠️
Protect Yourself from Scams Related to RECA Claims

🚨 BEWARE of Predatory Law Firms and Scams
Some entities are already trying to exploit Missouri residents by offering unnecessary claim assistance.
These scams may try to get you to sign up or pay for services you do NOT need.
The RECA Program Was Designed to Be Accessible
You do not need a law firm or paid service to apply for compensation.
The process is being streamlined so individuals and families can apply on their own with support from trusted sources.
🤝 Official Oversight Is in Place
We’re working directly with Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey and other state and federal agencies to track these scams and protect our communities. Coordination is already underway to prevent exploitation.
🌐 Help Is Coming from Trusted Resources
Once the Department of Justice begins accepting applications, there will be:
A full list of legitimate support organizations
Application guides and walkthroughs
Trusted local and advocacy groups ready to assist—all free of charge
🙏 Stay Alert—Stay Empowered
We anticipated this type of activity, and we’re grateful for the swift response from our state leadership.
Please use only official websites and verified advocates when seeking help.

Together, we can make a difference!

With the help of supporters like you, Just Moms STL has made many strides and accomplished many things over the years.

Stay tuned for how we can come together as a region to support the bi-partisan Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA), federal legislation that would force the Department of Energy (DOE) to clean up/pay for sites in our region, medical screenings, etc.

Please also check out our Calendar to keep up-to-date with Community, EPA Region 7, and U.S. Army Corp., FUSRAP Meetings.
